PA Mathematics Teaching Summit
October 24, 2026 - Carlow University
The PA Mathematics Teaching Summit is a one-day conference for both Pre-Service Teachers and In-Service Teachers, sponsored by PCTM (Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics) and PAMTE (Pennsylvania Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators).
All sessions are open to both Pre-Service Teachers and In-Service Teachers, and are representative of all levels of education K-12. The sessions will include a focus on the Pre-Service Teachers, specifically in things that will help them prepare for and navigate a job interview, creating a portfolio, and preparation for managing a classroom among many other topics. There will also be sessions that both the Pre-Service Teacher and In-Service Teacher will find helpful in classroom instruction techniques and specific lesson examples that have been used by other teachers with success. The event may also include a Keynote Speaker, a panel discussion, or Lunch and Learn during the day. The face-to-face networking between In-Service Teachers as well as Pre-Service Teachers is a priceless experience.
